What you need to know

The Windows Server 2012 R2 End of Life deadline is almost here

Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 follow Microsoft's Fixed Lifecycle Policy which provides five years of Mainstream Support and five years of Extended Support. The Mainstream Support phase for Windows Server 2012 R2 was from 11/25/2013 to 10/9/2018.

Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 are in the Extended Support phase with an End of Life date of 10/10/2023. Once this date passes, Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 will stop receiving regular patches or critical security updates, making security and compliance a top concern.

Because the upgrade process will take time and resources, we urge users to begin planning and not delay their transition. To talk to someone today, call 800-228-3628.
